Reading of homeless homework

Six talented writers read their homework stories and poems on the topics of - The train trip from Parramatta, The joys of homelessness, Urban myths in boxes, The travels of Belle, Tim Tam – the rescue mouse and If home is where the heart is where was I.

Writing information

Terry read out an article about how to work out who did it in Agatha Christie mysteries. 

Terry also read out examples of show don’t tell from “All my enemies” by Barry Maitland.

Christmas lunch Thursday 10 December 2015

Wendy will book our Christmas lunch for 12 noon on Thursday 10 December 2015 at B&B Lodge.

Exercise

We tackled the task to create a short story/poem of 26 sentences starting each sentence with the letters A to Z, including a one word sentence, one question and one quotation.

After 20 minutes of concentrated writing we produced a range of great stories - A snake in the grass, Amelia a woman full of good ideas, All is sweet, As they returned from the funeral, All in good time, Adam met Eve in the garden, Arial snoozed, The world within her and A small boy.

Homework

Write a fairy tale where the villain is the hero or
A contradictory story over heard in the bank about the source of thousands of dollars.
